As a member of the engineering department, your focus will be on developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. You will also be to assist or act as the Product Manager on certain occassions

Responsibilities

1. Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios as well as acting as product manager

2. Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.

3. Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design and development team.

4. Execute design and development reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.

5. Implement different phases of the test cycle, including Unit Testing.

6. Integration/System Testing, Performance Testing, Load Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing, etc.

7. Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

8. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

9. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

10. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs

11. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

12. Monitoring debugging process report

13. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts

14. Meet project milestones (testing cycles, multiple waves)

15. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

16. Experience as a product manager or Associate Product manager is an added advantage
